Couples Therapy/Family Therapy

MFTs (Marriage and Family Therapists) are the only behavioral health professionals required to get specialized training and education in working with couples and families.  MFTs receive specialty training in couples and family therapy interventions to explore how our clients get stuck. We use these systems approaches with individuals, couples and families. We look at how each member’s wants, needs, hurts and reactions impact other members of the couple or family. We remain neutral and view all perspectives and goals of each member as valid and worthy.

Our therapists work from a couples counseling approach, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which helps couples to be more connected, secure, and happy in their relationship.  The primary goals of this therapy are to increase secure attachments between partners to allow for deep conversations and healing.

Our therapists offer prepare and enrich assessments in order to couples and families have a better understanding of their connection, needs, and ongoing strategies. (Ask for more information).

LGBTQ+

LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy is a specific style of counseling where your therapist not only accepts but encourages you to live with honesty and authentically within whichever identities are true for you. We are a safe space for you to be authentic and to heal.

Dating Relationships

We are aware of how challenging dating and navigating single life can be. We provide a safe and non-judgmental space, as well as necessary support and acceptance for those who may be experiencing difficulties in navigating dating and single life

Teens

During adolescence, teens are working on creating their identity and feeling comfortable in their world while also feeling safe within themselves. They are growing and developing while also experiencing new freedoms. Teens are often working on becoming confident with themselves while fitting in. If you think that your teen is struggling with low self-esteem, we have therapists that can meet with you and your teen to help them.

EMDR/Brainspotting

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a powerful therapy intervention which has been very successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic, disturbing memories, PTSD and many other emotional problems. EMDR can bring quick and lasting relief for most types of emotional distress.

Brainspotting can be applied to most distressing clinical issues including mood disorders, anxiety, stress, Posttraumatic Stress and disorders, performance issues, Attention Deficit Disorder, and many other issues. Brainspotting was discovered in 2003 by David Grand PhD. Brainspotting is a powerful, subcortical treatment modality that complements the mind and body’s natural healing ability to address emotional and somatic distress caused by underlying trauma and core beliefs that subconsciously effect daily functioning.

High Profile Clients

Our practice has policies to work with the particular needs of public figures including politicians, celebrities, professional athletes,  business leaders and other high profile clients who require an especially high level of discretion. We can provide before/after hour sessions, off-site sessions and customized intensives (2-6 hour sessions) to accommodate clients with heavy travel schedules and public lifestyles which can make scheduling at a regular time  difficult.

Fees for intensives are determined by the location, day, time, and length of our sessions and therapist. Contact me directly on my confidential line at 480-650-4835 to explore the possibilities of working together.
